The great room features an open floor plan, and an expansive view of the waterfront, a wood burning fireplace, a 42" LED Flat Screen, a fresh new furniture group, durable Pergo flooring, and custom lighting and ceiling fans.

Spanning 29 ft by 25 ft, including the 20' ft by 12' open galley kitchen area which also includes wrap-around bar seating and a curved ceiling bulkhead to set off the space. Three glass doors lead to a family room ("kid's den) and the two porches, each separated by brick/block, which serves as a precious sound barrier.  We found that the extroverts often ended up watching movies, the introverts played games on the waterside porch (I know, we had it backwards), the younger kids hung out in their own private den, and the teenagers played ping-pong, foozball and air hockey on the landside porch. 

Eating happened everywhere, at the table, at the bar, at a kids table on the porch or den, everyone on couches or the floor, and often outside.  Why everywhere?  Because more often than not, we had over a dozen guests, and one time as many as fifty.
